National Drug File
This File is a list of drug products available, which includes specific information for each product. Information included for the products are trade name, NDC number, manufacturer, VA Drug Class code, dosage form, route of administration, strength and units, ingredients, ingredient strength and units, package code, package size, package type, VA product name and VA generic name.

National Drug File
The National Drug File provides standardization of the local drug Files in all VA medical facilities. Standardization includes the adoption of new drug nomenclature and drug classification and links the local drug File] entries to data in the National Drug File. For drugs approved by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA), VA medical facilities have access to information concerning dosage form, strength and unit; package size and type; manufacturer’s trade name; and National Drug Code (NDC).
